Its a cook book by a rather famous Croatian cook, Viljam Cvek. My contribution to the project was the cover design.

As every year, the ACI annual catalogue is upon us once again. An impressive list of photographers contributed to make this presentation of Croatia to all the ACI Marinas visitors a keeper. To celebrate the new year, the staff of Livingstone decided to give to its readers some great music as a gift. So we came up with an idea to make a soundtrack CD for the magazine. With the help from Klapa Libar (the band ) we came up with a concept of a klapa (traditional croatian vocal music) group singing the not so traditional rock classics, both domestic and foreign. Here is one of those projects that you feel lucky and grateful to be working on it. This is a project that will return the comic book as an educational tool into the Croatian elementary schools. The first season of comics covers great people from Croatian history, sports, culture, science etc. The first issue was about King Tomislav, the second is about Janica Kostelic, then come the Zrinski Frankapani…The comic books are produced by the best Croatian comic book authors such as Goran Sudzuka, Darko Macan, Igor Kordej etc. and the project was verified and recomended by the Croatian ministry of education.

My small contribution to this project was the layout design (the comic books contain several “non-comic book ” pages, such as educational texts, games, etc), cover page typography, and the design for the web layout. You can visit the official web for more info on the project (in Croatian).

This is a Croatian magazine that I work for as a graphic editor and a layout designer. The magazine is in Croatian and English, has a printed version which has a circulation of 40 000 copies, and also an online PDF version, which can be downloaded for free at www.livingstone-magazine.com. The magazine is now in its 18th issue, and I have been working on it since its 1st issue. I also did the visual identity for the magazine.

A website for Mario Novak’s gallery in New York. Mario Novak is a Croatian photographer living in the USA. This website is also a promotional site for his new book “Croatia”.
